Jhunka Bhakri Cheesy Tarts (Maharashtrian Street Food) instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients and make a stiff dough. Add salt and mix well..
  2. Add butter and make like crumble texture..
  3. Mix all well, make a dough using ice cold water. Refrigerate the dough for 10-15 minutes..
  4. Make equal portions and make small round shape by rolling them..
  5. Grease the tart moulds and place the dough rounds in moulds. Make marks with fork on the dough so that it does not swell and gets crisp. Bake at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes..
  6. Now for the bhakri. Heat oil. Add rai and jeera and let it splatter and hing..
  7. Add rai, jeera, garlic, onions and saute well. Add chopped green chillies..
  8. Once the onions turn slight brown, add besan, turmeric, red chilli powder to it and mix well. Stir for 2-3 minutes..
